Taxes(市の税金)

For more information on taxes, please come to the Tax Division (zeimuka 税務課) in Oshu City Hall (main city hall).

Main Taxes

  • Prefectural and municipal tax (kenshimin zei 県市民税)
  • Corporation municipal tax (hojinshimin zei 法人市民税)
  • Property tax (koteishisan zei 固定資産税)                              
  • Light motor vehicle tax (keijidoshazei 軽自動車税)
  • National Health Insurance (kokumin kenkohoken zei 国民健康保険税)

Paying Taxes

You can pay taxes at city hall and the following places. Please bring your tay payment slip. You can only use convenience stores to pay taxes for tax payment slips that have a barcode before the tax payment deadline.

City Hall: Tax Payment Division at Oshu main city hall and each general branch office.

Issuing Tax-Related Certificates

You can get the following tax-relaxed certificates issued at city hall and branch offices.

See the chart below for certificate fees. If you use your basic residence register card or individual number (“My Number”) card to get a certificate at a convenience store, it will cost 200 yen.

You can get certificates at these convenience stores:

  1. 7 Eleven (both inside and outside Oshu)
  2. Lawson (both inside and outside Oshu)
  3. Circle K Sunkus (both inside and outside Oshu)
  4. Family Mart (both inside and outside Oshu)
  5. Mini Stop (both inside and outside Oshu)
  6. A COOP, Oyama Store
  7. Kanbun Store, Isawa Branch, Haranaka Branch

Certificates you can get at convenience stores:

  1. Income certificate (most recent fiscal year only)
  2. Prefectural and municipal tax declaration (tax exemption) certificate (most recent fiscal year only)
  3. Income and tax declaration certificate (most recent fiscal year only)
  4. Tax payment certificate (most recent fiscal year and the year before only)

※You cannot get light motor vehicle tax payment certificate or property certificate for renewal inspection.
